Drama Queen - Sarah Bernhardt

Lesley posted a link to a wonderful tissue tutorial, which is how the background of this card was created. I love this technique, and have used it to create many cards. The technique results in such a rich looking background! Using brown or tan paint results in a background that resembles leather; but I like to use it with bright colors, too.

Sarah Bernhardt was a great stage star at the turn of the century. She longed to have her art preserved at the advent of film. Unfortunately, the crudeness of the film technique of the time, combined with her need to perform with the burden of a wooden leg, resulted in film that no doubt does not do her performances justice.
