Here Kitty! My first inchies

My granddaughter, Lily, was the subject for my first inchies. I made the first inchy with a photo of a black cat that looked a lot like Twoky. I made another with a tabby cat.

Inchies - Roly Poly Kitty

Inchies are a version of Artist Trading Card that confine artistic expression to a 'canvas' exactly one inch by one inch. Yes - I'm not kidding. Actually, creating inchies can be very addictive. The challenge is to express yourself in a framework that seems much too small. Inchies can be creating as free-standing works, in sequential order, or as part of a larger work. Some people use inchies as part of their Artist Trading Cards.

Rinchies are round inchies. You have a circle one inch in diameter in which to work. This is even more challenging than making inchies!

Roly Poly Kitty is a square inchie with a round-shaped kitty attached with a brad. It turns around and around. The background of the inchie is made with a rubber stamp.
