We all know how hard it is to eat all of the servings of healthy green vegetables that we should eat daily in order to stay in the peak of health. And yet, we always find room for dessert. So why not combine these two food choices into one incredible treat - BROCCOLI CAKE!
Who could ask for more? Well - how about passing the Velveeta cheese sauce?????
This crazy card was inspired by an experience I had yesterday in a restaurant. There were two women sitting in the booth in front of me. If you look out the window in back of me, you can see a Dunkin' Donuts shop across the street. The women were browsing the menu, and the woman facing me kept looking from the menu, up through the window and back. Her friend noticed this, and asked her what she was doing. Her friend said that she had a difficult choice: go to Dunkin' Donuts across the street, or order a salad. Donuts or salad...donuts or salad. She laughed and said that at that moment, she was leaning toward the donuts, and they both laughed.
So I was thinking that a lot of people trying to eat sensibly had this type of choice all the time: eat healthy food that make you feel good about your choices, or eat the unhealthy food you can't deny that you want, and regret it later. Well, why not compromise? Eat a nice healthy salad - but instead of croutons or bacon bits, top it with lovely donuts with sprinkles!
