Dress Up 2011 - Klimt

For this month's Dress Up 2011 challenge, I was inspired by this wonderful painting by Gustav Klimt:

Portrait of Emilie Floge (1902)
I really love this dress!  Blue is my favorite color; and I have always loved this type of sleeve.  The dress looks to me to be very sheer and although the skirt looks rather straight, I imagine that it billowed around when she twirled.  Here is my dress:

  7. Jeannie, I think your inspiration really translated into your dress - it is so lovely! I agree, I think that while it seems a straight dress, the type of fabric suggests it would float and your dress captures that!

    So gorgeous!

  11. You got the blue! I can totally feel/see the twirl and billow flouncing at the bottom of your dress too. It's just beautiful. And the gold twist on that hanger is just the perfect companion.

    Faith, trust, and faerie dust!
