Dress Challenge 2011 - Impressionism

Thank you, Angela, for carrying on with this terrific challenge, Dress Challenge 2011.  Dress Challenge 2010 was so much fun - and the 2011 version is shaping up to be just as much fun!  The theme for January is impressionism.  I created my dress inspired by one of my favorite VanGogh paintings:
I would truly love to own this dress!  I painted it with watercolor and gouache, in the true spirit of impressionism.  After painting it, I really couldn't see any way to improve upon Van Gogh's inspiration.

    Hi! You made such a beautiful dress! I would love to wear it walking barefoot through a field of flowers=) Really can't you see it in some silky fabric with embroidery? Love it!

    That is one of my favorite paintings by VanGogh and you did an absolutely beautiful job recreating it in your dress. Superb!

    Oh wow, this is so beautiful - wouldn't it be lovely to wear this for real? As a beautiful hand painted silk? I keep seeing these dresses on everyone's blog and I'm drooling, they're all lovely. Your inspiration carried itself marvelously into your completed dress.

    I love this dress that you made. I have been looking through all the art that you created in past blogs and I am so impressed!
