    This is my granddaughter, Lillian, who is now 11 years old. The photo was taken when she was 7. Her mom was going through a bone marrow transplant at the time and she missed her mother a lot.

    what a lovely painting - If you would excuse me making one very little critique. Childrens' portraits are difficult. Capturing an exact likeness is one problem because the eyes are larger relative to the head than in an adult. Hope you don't mind me saying this.

    Goodness-I don't mind any critique! I welcome any help I can get - I'm so new at this. You have nailed the part that I am not completely happy with. This is part of the learning process. It's amazing how one little thing can make such a difference in capturing what you want to capture in a painting! Thank you so much for your help.
